SS. Nicholas & Faith Church (or SSNF for short) is in the Anglican Diocese of Truro. It is one half of the Saltash Team Ministry, with St. Stephen-by-Saltash. Our Team Rector, the Rev. Canon Richard Maynard, has just retired (at the end of July 2008) so the Team Vicar, the Rev. Alan Butler is now responsible for both St Stephens and SSNF. At SSNF, we aim to give a friendly welcome to all visitors to our church, which dates back to Norman times and has often played a central role in the life of Saltash. Our worship follows a fairly traditional pattern, but the congregation is of all ages-- anything from 8 days to 80 years plus--and there is an active social committee. Like many Anglican churches, we have the responsibility of maintaining an historic building, and this can be quite daunting at times. However, the main emphasis is on enjoying each others company as we worship and work together, serving each other and our community. |
